Thanks for the Effort Erin

Am I suppose to get excited about the ESPYs? Short of the effort being put forth by Erin Andrews, who I know is a favorite of the bachelor’s on sports row, and the married guys as well…what’s the point (and as far as I know, no one in this department has gone all Bruce Pearl on her)? I don’t care about the Emmys, Oscars, Soap Opera Digest Awards (yes, they actually have that) or the spelling bee. They are irrelevant to me. I haven’t watched one of those things for over a decade. I consider myself better for it, I might add.

So Jason Taylor’s off to the Redskins. Another piece of that group of mercenaries collected by one Daniel Snyder. Does that guy have a clue about how others have built championship teams? Actually, forget that. If he doesn’t want to learn, that’s one less team the Pats have to worry about.

As for Taylor, I can understand why Bill Parcells wanted him out. “Dancing with the Stars?” I’m not really sure how that furthers his next career, which he wants to be in movies. How about you try and rebound from that crappy season you had in Miami and got out as part of the solution, not part of the problem. But no…the easy way out is what Taylor chose. Perhaps he should pay more attention to a stalwart on his former division rival. Maybe he would have learned a thing or two…

 I’m still on an emotional high after having seen my favorite band a couple times at the end of June and early July. And here they go again, bringing the goods on a VH1 special honoring “The Who.” Name me anyone better…I’m waiting.
