Sox Prospect Profile: Lars Anderson
Posted by Mike Giardi August 3, 2008 at 12:33 am
Manny Ramirez is gone. Jason Bay has performed well in his first two games with the Red Sox. But do the Sox have any big hitters coming up through their farm system? Some believe left handed hitting first baseman Lars Anderson to fit the bill. Mike Giardi caught up with him in Portland. No, this is not Giardi writing in the 3rd person. It’s Adam Hart posting the video for him and provided a darn good write-up for it.
In 77 games (306 at bats) with Single-A Lancaster, Lars batted .317 with 13 home runs and 50 RBI.
Since moving across the country to Double-A Portland, he is batting .300 with 0 home runs and 6 RBI in 13 games (40 at bats).
