Report: Theo Epstein consults Rock Star about trade

Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein consults Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder about a potential move before MLB’s July 31st trading deadline.  Epstein reportedly inquired the Rock Star’s opinion on a Julio Lugo-for-Edgar Renteria swap.  Eddie replied that it’s as good as the de La Rocha for Cornell swap Rage Against the Machine made a few years back. 

Draw your own conclusions. 

This was a subtle attempt at humor.
