Porter Spouts Off. Again.

Tell me you didn’t see this one coming? Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter has put the Pats in his cross hairs for a second time this season. In his first rant, just prior to the Fins 38-13 thrashing of the Sons of Belichick, the loquacious Porter put the hammer to Matt Cassel. Then, the man backed it up on the football field. 4 sacks - 3 of Cassel - and a forced fumble. If you’re going to talk, and can follow it up with a performance like that, all the power to you.

The Pats response today was pretty simple: we couldn’t block him the last time, so the man can say what he wants. That was Heath Evans take. Ditto for Matt Light, who was victimized by Porter on a couple occasions. As for Bill Belichick, he insisted that some of those numbers were a byproduct of the Pats falling into a two touchdown hole. To that I say, don’t fall into a two touchdown hole! Anyway, that’s certainly going to be an interesting game within the game Sunday.
